JUSTFAB

Project Overview

A mobile-first redesign concept for JustFab  a subscription-based fashion platform intended to improve mobile accessibility and ease of use. The website’s mobile experience was confusing and hard to navigate, especially for key tasks like browsing picks and skipping a month.

Role: UX Designer
Tools: Figma, InVision
Platform: Mobile app design

The Problem

The JustFab site lacked an intuitive mobile experience, and users struggled with frequent tasks like navigating seasonal picks, skipping a month, and browsing categories. This caused friction and reduced engagement because the interface was not optimized for modern mobile behavior.

Research

I developed interview questions aimed at understanding user behavior:Working Women between the ages of 18-35

  • Have you used JustFab? For how long?
  • Do you think JustFab needs an app?
  • Why or Why not?

User1: Yes, I’m a Justfab User. I’ve been using Justfab for five years, and it is about time that they get an app. But use it occasionally. Yes, thinks they need an app, then I’ll be easier to use.
User 2: No, I’m not a Justfab User. I have family and friends you shops from there website. Yes, I think it is essential for a retail store to have an app, especial since everyone’s doing it. I would start using it.
User3: Yes, I am a JustFab user. I’ve been using the app for seven years. I love their company. Yes, the company needs an app. I love the site, but I found my self using my phone more than a desktop. Having an app would be more natural to use.

This animation is explaining why the user would want to use the JustFab app. Also Highlighted some of the main features the app would bring instead of the website.

Rough Draft

User Respond

After creating the first Draft, I mocked it up on InVission and asked both user and non-JustFab users how they felt about the experience.

JustFab User: JustFab skip the month to be visible Like the zoom in details on clothing to see more details A visible access to my monthly pick Love the nav bar on the bottom Home button Less words on the menu spread them out A section to post pictures in the review section

Non-Justfab User: Non Justfab user Navigate easily? Yes Like to scroll or see more Yes first fall on the add Ok with nav on the bottom.

JustFab User: Able to click on the Size Like the zoom in details The price Similar items(user also purchased) The material and details View other angles of the shoes Fine at the bottom arrow to go back Fall on the add JustFab skip the month to be visible Season pick to be visible in the home page
